- Hand tuned, one pair at a time
Services
Skis should be waxed every 3 to 5 ski days to keep the base fast and protected.
Bundles
Wax and edges
Both, done in the right order.
5 tunes for the price of 4
Five wax and edges tunes, priced as four. Must be used in the ski season it's purchased in.
Singles
Hand wax
Base cleaned, hot waxed with an iron, cooled, scraped and brushed.
Storage wax
A thick protective coat left on for the off-season, so the base doesn't dry out. Scraped off and re-waxed before your first day back.
Edge sharpening
Side edges filed to the angle you want and de-burred. Tell me if you like them sharp or forgiving.
P-tex repair add-on
Added to any wax or tune. Gouges and core shots filled with P-tex, scraped flush and re-waxed. Deeper damage is quoted before I start.
How it works
Book a slot
Send me your ski make and length, and the kind of snow you ski most.
Drop off your skis
Arrange a drop off time with me.
Tune
I check the base and edges, then wax and sharpen by hand.
Pick up and ski
Your skis come back clean, scraped and ready for the next day on snow.
One bench, careful work
The Dojo Ski Tuning is a small home workshop. No queue and no rush before opening weekend: your skis get a full hand tune on a vise, with an iron, files and the right wax for the day.
I'm an avid skier and I've tuned my own skis for two years. I started doing it for friends and family, and now I'm opening it up. Every pair gets the same careful hand tune I'd give my own.
